Leadership Academy

Welcome to the City of Winslow

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS PROVIDED TO ASSIST THE PUBLIC IN THE PROCEDURE TO OBTAIN A BUILDING PERMIT FROM THE CITY OF WINSLOW FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCES, ADDITIONS, AND DETACHED ACCESSORY BUILDINGS.

 1.      Planning, Zoning and Building approval.

 2.      All applications for a Building Permit must be accompanied by:

         A.      Completed application
         B.      A copy of the completed septic permit when applicable.
         C.      Three (3) complete sets of plans and specifications for the building, drawn to scale, which include:

1.      Site Plan, which shows location of all buildings on the property and the distance from property lines to buildings.

2.      Foundation detail

3.      Floor plan

4.      Framing detail and cross sections

5.      Roof detail

6.      A copy of the truss specifications and layout

7.      Electrical, plumbing and mechanical plans

8.      Elevations

When these plans are reviewed, one set will be returned to the applicant.

Plan review will take approximately 15 working days.

No additions, alteration or modification to approved plans without the written approval of the building official.
