The City of Winslow’s Primary Election of March 13, 2012 has been cancelled per the City of Winslow Charter which states that “in the event that no more than two (2) candidates file nominating petition for each vacancy in office, the Primary Election may be dispensed with as to that office.”  Robin Robert Boyd and Thomas R. Chacon, Sr. filed petitions for the office of mayor and will be placed on the ballot for the General Election to be held on May 15, 2012.  The following six candidates filed petitions for the three councilmember positions and will be placed on the ballot for the General Election to be held on May 15, 2012:  Peter Cake, Judy Howell, Marshall Losey, Rudy A. Montoya, Randy Pritchard and Robert “Bob” Schlesinger.   The deadline to register to vote in the City General Election is April 16, 2012 at 12 o’clock midnight.  Voter registration forms are available at City Hall and the Library.

 La Elección Primaria del 13 de marzo de 2012 de la Ciudad de Winslow se ha cancelado de acuerdo con la Constitución de la Ciudad de Winslow que declara que “en el caso de que no más de dos (2) candidatos entablen peticiones de nominación para cada vacancia de un cargo, la Elección Primaria se puede dispensar en relación con ese cargo.” Robin Robert Boyd y Thomas R. Chacon, Sr. entablaron peticiones para el cargo de alcalde y aparecerán en la balota de la Elección General que se celebrará el 15 de mayo de 2012. Los siguientes seis candidatos entablaron peticiones para los tres cargos de miembro del concejo y aparecerán en la balota de la Elección General que se celebrará el 15 de mayo de 2012: Peter Cake, Judy Howell, Marshall Losey, Rudy A. Montoya, Randy Pritchard y Robert “Bob” Schlesinger. La última fecha para inscribirse para votar en la Elección General será el 16 de abril de 2012 para las 12 de la medianoche. Los formularios de inscripción como votante están disponibles en el ayuntamiento y en la Biblioteca.
